MY REVIEW:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1342367400

The cover of this book is beautiful, but don't let that fool you. Even though it's listed as a paranormal romance, it's not all about romance. We have one evil, nasty arse looking ghost up in the manor trying to kill certain people from some curse that has been going on for decades.

Allison (Allie) Knowles inherits Ava Rollins huge manor and money when she passes away. Allie was just living a simple life with her mom and family in Whispering Pine, NC when this happened. Now she is rich beyond reason, having to fight off a ghost and in love.

Cole Kinsley is one of the workers of the mansion and Allie and Cole are madly in love. No, it's not the insta-love, although I thought it might be at first. Before Allie even met Cole she was having dreams about him. It turns out it's a centuries-old love, but I won't give out that spoiler.

Allie is funny and a spitfire. She does do things at times that make you want to smack her but that's the way it goes. She made a funny comment when she got there upon meeting the family vultures that had descended to see if they were going to get anything out of the will. She said, "The last few family members could have scared flies off a shit wagon." I loved it...only in the South right :)

The story unfolds and she finds out about the ghost and curse. She has to try to break this curse with the help of Kaitlyn and Shelby. There are things in the book from time to time that irritated me, the get on with it kind of thing. But I think overall the book was really good. I like the idea of the premise. Did I mention there was a shape-shifter in the midst too? :)

I would like to continue on with the series as it comes out.

**I would like to thank NETGALLEY and KENSINGTON BOOKS for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.**    4 Stars
