I thought the book was pretty decent. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it.

Caitlin's (Cat) cousin Marcy bought two ghosts off ebay for $6000! Yup, I guess that is the thing to do these days. Cat, of course, thought Marcy had flipped her lid, but Marcy's parents are rich and she can blow money on anything. When they get the box it looks a little beat up. There are two tubes inside of the box and one is broken. Marcy is livid, but she opens the other one and Cat gets a kind of burning in her arms and she smells spices in the air. Marcy doesn't feel a thing and stomps off to contact the guy to get her money back, which she does by the way.

Later on Caitlin sees the ghost of Liam O'Reilly in the kitchen and about has a coronary. For reasons unknown, the two of them are connected together so they have to be close to each other at all times.

They have some kind of weird love thing going on even though they can't touch and have only known each other for a short time. Meanwhile, Cat starts dating a nice guy named Patrick in the real world. Best of both worlds?

Liam tells Cat the other ghost in the bottle was his sister Anna and that he really needed to find her. Anna told Liam she was going back to look for her long lost love. Anna died in a tragic accident on her wedding day to William in 1866. Liam was all upset and got shot in the process, so they died at the same time, but instead of going into the light Anna went searching for William and Liam stayed with her.

Cat and Liam take a trip to where they had the historic buildings from that era. They found Anna's ghost and William's ghost, there was also an evil entity there that was keeping them apart.

In the end, Cat and Liam find out who the other ghost is and get them all together to go into the light. But.... and there is always a but :) something totally unexpected happened a few months later. I wonder what it could be? Fin
