The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Mara Dyer believes life can't get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.
There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong. @goodreads

MY REVIEW:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1332290874                     4 STARS

This book was creepy and cool. The way the author brought things together captivated me. I am interested in seeing where she is going to go with this trilogy. I have already ordered the box set instead of waiting on the library to get the other books ready :)

It all starts with a ouija board. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the story per se, but it seems funny it started out with Mara and her friends using one.

Mara and her brothers are moved to a new school when an accident kills her three friends, but leaves her alive. And the only thing that changes at this new school is that she meets Noah. The two of them together have some real freaky stuff going on. I love Mara's snark in this book as well, she gives Noah a run for his money :)

People seem to be dying around Mara. What is the reason? How is Noah integrated into Mara's story when she just met him?

Mara has all of these visions of her dead friends that the doctors are labeling PTSD...but.. is it really... or is something more going on with this story! I need to know!!

I really enjoyed this weird little ride and I look forward to reading the next two books in the trilogy.
