The Gift of a Charm by Melissa Hill

From Melissa Hill, author of A Gift from Tiffany's, comes The Gift of a Charm-another New York Christmas love story to restore your faith in miracles

Holly O'Neill knows that every charm bracelet tells a story. Many years ago she was sent one with just a single charm attached. The charms have been appearing ever since, often at challenging times, as if her mysterious benefactor knows exactly when she needs a little magic in her life.

As a result, Holly's bracelet is her most prized possession. So when she finds someone else's charm bracelet, she feels she has to try to reunite it with its owner-even if the only clues she has to follow are the charms themselves.

MY REVIEW:

4 STARS

*I won this on a Goodreads Firstreads Giveaway. I would like to thank St. Martin's Press*

This book is just so sweet. It's a feel good book read and I really enjoyed it.

Holly O'Neill works for The Secret Closet, they resale expensive and vintage cloths, etc. to the public.

 :

One day when a new batch of donations come in from UPS, Holly finds a charm bracelet in an inside pocket of a jacket. This is an expensive jacket and they were not supposed to have inside pockets so Holly and her boss Carole figured the owner sewed it herself. Carole gives Holly the okay to try and locate the owner. Holly has her own charm bracelet and knows how much they can mean to someone and this seems to be filled with meaningful charms.

 :

So, this hunt takes place during the wonderful Christmas season.

The book tells two stories. It tells the story of Holly and her son Danny and Greg and his family. It ends up that Greg has something to do with the charm bracelet, but I'm not going to tell you what the connection is... :)

It was so wonderful to go on these little hunts with Holly to try to track down people. I loved the atmosphere and the people in the book. I have to say at the end though, I was ready to smack someone to get to the point!!! I couldn't stand it, it's one of those, OMG.. will you get there. You know where it's going but they are doing a turtle walk to get there! But the ending was so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes! Shut-up! It was really good!

I recommend to anyone looking for a feel good book for the holidays or any time really.
