Hi guys,
I thought I would give a sort of review of the blu-ray box set of Twin Peaks. I noticed a lot of people on Amazon had some issues either through Amazon or with some of the discs. And also on Amazon they lump all of the reviews together, meaning regular dvd, digital, etc. So, I hope you like all of the pictures I have of this wonderful box set. FYI: I ordered mine through Wal-Mart because even though I have Amazon Prime, I order more expensive things through other companies because I have to get a TON of replacements from Amazon for ripped books, broken blu-ray cases etc.
Lets crack on with the review =)
In the above image, this is the box set after you open it. The box is very sturdy.
This is what the set looks like from the side. Do you see the little ribbon holding it open. It's really cool!
I love the first thing you see is the beautiful sign: Welcome To Twin Peaks =) If you look down in the right hand corner you see what looks like something missing. Well, there is, it's a little slot on each of the cardboard pieces to make it easier for you to turn the page =) The only thing I don't like is the blu-rays are inside the cardboard slips. I really wish if companies were going to do this, they would add some foam inside so your discs wouldn't get scratched.
The above picture is of the second page. They have the beautiful bird on the top page and on the bottom they have this see through piece of paper with what blu-ray is coming up. You can lift that paper up to see the scene as I will show in the next picture =)
I used a pen in the above picture to keep my grubby fingers out of the scene =) But, you can see how the paper lifts up to show the scene.

I almost forgot the little secret compartment below on the last page of the set!
Also if you click on play all on the episodes it gives you the option of picking watch just the episodes or watch with extras. The extras has the log woman giving a talk before each episode =)
I loved this show and I didn't even watch it until May 2017. I didn't think it was something I would like. I had no idea it was crazy train. I thought it was just some soap opera! Boy was I wrong and it rocks!
Did anyone else think or is it already known that David Lynch had what's her head wearing a patch over her eye as a play on what's his head being the preacher werewolf in Silver Bullet? =)
I wanted to add so many gifs from the show on here but I will leave it with just a couple more.

DeleteOh, wow. What a beautiful package! I've never actually seen a single episode of the original show so I'm wondering if watching the new one would be advisable. Really like this packaging!

DeleteSadly I can relate to the Amazon thing... I've had a lot of damaged stuff lately too. But anyway... I've never seen this show! Crazy right? This looks like a fabulous boxed set.
ReplyDeleteGreg, Amazon has gotten so bad for me over the past few years that I cringe when I get their packages =(. I just recently had to return more ripped up brand new books. I keep talking to them about this but they are so big now that they don't care.
DeleteI never watched this show until this May on Netflix and fell right in love. I can't believe it was canceled on a cliffhanger! The networks. They have the new ones on Showtime but I don't get Showtime. They are supposed to be like a final closure. But the show was so good it should never have been cancelled. What can you do though. I hope you enjoy it when you get to see it =)
