This is the story of Judah and his wife, Leah. 

Leah's life growing up was horrible. She had an abusive dad and I felt bad for her. 

It was lovely when she met Judah and they fell in love. 

Their story is a hard one and it is very sad at times. They were separated for most of the book due to war and things of that nature. 

This is the first book I have read from this author and I think she did a good job although I don't know a lot about that time in history.
