He’s staying with his friends Noah and Ivy Schlabach in Birch Creek, OH, where he is reunited with Lucy Fisher, an old friend of Noah’s family. There are four different novella's in this book.

The first one is:  A Legacy of Love by Amy Clipston

Leon is a volunteer fire fighter and he does some other work on the side. He agrees to repair is ex-girlfriend, Susie, grandparent's antique rocking chairs. These rocking chairs are going in Susie's new home with her fiance.

Soon the couple realize they still have feelings for each other. But what are they going to do? They never should have parted ways to begin with but things happen.

The second one is: The Cedar Chest by Beth Wiseman

I have to say this one is my favorite because the author made a dedication to her grandmother who's old cedar chest she owns and I have my grandmothers old cedar chest. It has a special place in my heart.

Emma gets her great grandmother's old cedar chest. She finds a bundle of old letters her great grandparents wrote back and forth to each other.

I think this would have been a lovely thing, even if they hold a secret.

The third one is: The Treasured Book by Kathleen Fuller

I love this one as well, the finding of an antique bible by Lucy and Shane was wonderful. This story holds a mystery. And will Lucy and Shane finally share their feelings for each other?

The fourth one is: the MIdwife's Dream:

This book is about Iris who is a midwife. She is asked to help a young couple have their baby but as the young couple becomes afraid, they leave the baby wrapped in an antique baby quilt for Iris to take care of. Mahon helps Iris take care of the baby and what will it mean for Iris and Mahon? Will they have a happy ending?

I loved that these book all had to do with antique items. I would actually like to own all of the antique items mentioned in the stories, accept I already have the cedar chest.

The stories were sweet and I think anyone that loves Amish books will enjoy these short stories.

Thank you to BookLookBloggers for a print copy of this book!

Happy Reading!
