Unger has done it again; she's good at these books peeps. Wow, how in
the frig am I going to say anything without a spoiler <-- yeah, it's
one of those.
Okay, short and TTP:
I'm not going to keep telling everyone what the books about, who the MC is, just read it on the summary.
This
book was a mind game but a good one. The MC has some stuff when they
were young which leads to more stuff when they are older. Don't y'all
love when I make no sense?!
Let me just say this book is right
on with how I feel about certain things. Well, not all of it, but the
main bits. This is like - ugg, can't use that word or y'all will know
what I'm talking about....... this is the best kind of {blank} story to
me. I'm all about it. The ending was so freaking good, but not some
great climax. Just the way we find out what's what, who's who, and
what's happening now! I wasn't expecting that little tidbit there at the
end, but hey, it's all good. I'm fine with it.
I think fans of Lisa Unger will enjoy this book! I would recommend it!

perfect for children. I mean I’m keeping the book for myself and I’m an
adult 😊
I would recommend this to any parent looking for a night time bible story book!

Wow! There were some evil bastards in this book with some graphic
violence! But all is well my peeps, you can skim over those little
portions! I, myself would like to set fire to those evil beings but that
is neither here nor there.
I love this freaking book and can we
take a moment to love that cover?! I can't wait to have the finished
copy in my hands! Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy......
At times you do want to smack some people, including the main character, but that happens.
Kammani
is the MC in this book and she's a healer. K has studied under her
father who is said to be the best healer in the whole place. But things
happened and he isn't any more.
Kammani's best friend is Iltani
and I loved her so much. She's fun, spunky and does whatever she has to
help her friends. We also have Dagan, well I fell right in love with
him. I wanted to smack Kammani for putting him off so much. He's a big
love muffin and I ... well.. anyway, moving away from there.
They
have this creepy arse ceremony that they put three beautiful girls in
with some royal jerk when he dies. Yeah, I know right?! I won't say
anything else about that because of spoilers.
Kammni's sister is
chosen to be one of the maidens. Her sister is thrilled because she is
dumb. Kammni on the other hand tries to find a way to get her sister out
of this horrible fate. K ends up trying to save the king dude so that
she can save her sister. K finds out all kinds of evil things are going
on and thus chaos ensues.
I thought the book was well written,
had a great cast, and I'm looking forward to the second book.
Gravemaidens is said to be a duology so it won't have that second book
syndrome and will hopefully end well for all of those involved!

I’m giving this a 3 stars because of dogs! I mean right?! What’s my name?!
Anyhoo,
I chose this book because of said dogs. The beginning starts out with
Jazz (whom I thought was the dog at first) training a cadaver dog named,
Luther, in an abandoned building. Well, good ole Luther finds a real
body. Hmmmm... that sucked, but he did his job! Give him the ball!
The
dogs aren’t really in the book much. It’s mostly about Jazz and her ex
who is the cop on the investigation. This, that, the other happens. They
get the killer and the best part, there is a new puppy at the end.
