The Lady In Pink by J.A. Kazimer

Coming home to find a dead body in your living room isn’t the best way to end a long day’s work, especially when that work is as New Never City’s premier blue-haired PI. It’s even worse when the corpse is your intern, electrocuted to death, and you’re the one with enough voltage flowing through your veins to power Fairyland.

Blue Reynolds has nabbed his fair share of criminals—with and without the help of his alluring half-fairy partner Isabella Davis—but this one is proving to be more slippery than most. As Blue and Izzy investigate who might have wanted a lowly intern dead—and why—they begin to uncover a diabolical plan that could put both of their lives in danger…and unearth shocking secrets that stretch deep into Blue’s shadowy family history. @goodreads

MY REVIEW:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1335950727

I was not expecting this book to turn out the way it did. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this book was pretty great! I need to go back and read the first one now to see how it all started.

Isabella Davis (Izzy) and Blue Reynolds own a PI business together. In the first book Izzy was the Tooth Fairy, but Blue does something and she is not longer the Tooth Fairy so all of the fairies hate him.

In this book he was looking into these crimes of fairies being kidnapped by someone who is stealing their fairy dust to shoot up. Yeah.. that's what I thought when I read it... I might have been dreaming.

Blue is also trying to find his birth parents who left him as a baby on a doorstep. You see Blue has blue hair and is electric... as in.. touch me or tick me off and I will shoot lightening up your arse!

Izzy is part human and part fairy. She does have the wings though :)

I love the banter between these two and Blue is hilarious many times in the book.

A rambling from Blue: I'd learned a long time ago nothing good can come from an anonymous number. Or anonymous sex, for that matter, unless one liked telemarketers and STD's. And that's not even the funny stuff, but I digress.

Meanwhile, someone is trying to kill Blue because they don't want to him to figure out who his parents were, so Izzy and Blue have to try to figure out who is doing this.

I loved some of the names of the cities and places in the book. You have, Alphabet Soup City, Fairyland and New Never City, to name a few.

Some of the cops are just as interesting: Detective Goldie Locks and Detective Peter Rabbit.

I just loved all of those little aspects of the book. Oh, and let me not forget Bo Peep, she was a bit of a slut. I mean seriously, this book is a riot just with this world the author made up.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to more books the author has written.
